Taehoon joined RUHL | JAHNES in December 2020 after exploring a variety of large-scale cultural, institutional, and infrastructure projects with the award-winning Boston firms Machado Silvetti Associates and Leers Weinzapfel Associates. He has also worked with SOM in San Francisco, Kyu Sung Woo Architects in Cambridge, and our predecessor firm Ruhl Walker Architects. Taehoon is a Registered Architect and LEED Accredited Professional BD+C and received his Master in Architecture I from Harvard Graduate School of Design and a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of Washington, Seattle. His architectural interests range from translating integration between architecture and landscape and exploring ambiguous yet transcendental spatial qualities to a continuing investigation of materiality and constructability in the real world.

Taehoon is originally from South Korea and visits his family regularly to maintain his roots. In his free time, he finds a balance between the intensity of indoor cycling and the serenity of meditation. He also enjoys discovering unique small towns in New England for long holiday weekends.
