My favorite part of my work is the puzzle solving; the discovery that happens when reviewing the possible outcomes to the unique requirements of each project. I love seeing all the sides of a question through multiple team members’ points of view and experiences.
Hillary has rejoined the RUHL | JAHNES family as a Principal in 2022, after multiple stints as a team member in our two predecessor firms, starting in 2004. Most recently Hillary has been at the helm of her own design firm, XP Architecture and Design, LLC, and has collaborated with us for the last 4 years as a consultant. She serves on the Town of Reading MA Zoning Board of Appeals and was named as chair in the fall of 2021. Prior to that, she worked at CambridgeSeven on many projects, where she was uniquely involved in many sports museum and retail projects, including The Museum and Team Stores at Levi’s Stadium, home of the 49ers; The World of Little League and Shop in Williamsport PA; the Hall and Shop at Patriot Place; and The Revere Hotel in Boston, to name a few. Hillary is an alumnus of the University of Michigan’s Taubman College of Art and Design, MFA Arch 2001, and Master of Architecture 2003.
When Hillary isn’t in the office, she is spending time with her husband and two children. As a family, they enjoy mountains and sea, and you will typically find them in the great outdoors in one of their many athletic pursuits.
