Sandra A. Jahnes AIA, LEED AP

I have always enjoyed the part of my work which allows me to see projects get built, where ideas and aspirations truly come to life. Seeing the joy this brings to our clients really makes my job worthwhile.

Sandra co-founded RUHL | JAHNES in 2022, after more than 16 years collaborating with Will in his predecessor firms, Ruhl Studio Architects in Watertown and Ruhl Walker Architects in Boston. She is a Registered Architect and LEED Accredited Professional with an undergraduate degree in architecture from the University of Virginia and a Masters of Architecture degree from MIT. She has many years of experience on finely-detailed single- and multi-family residential, commercial, and dormitory projects in New York City and Boston. Sandra leads many of our office’s projects, as well as guides the Ruhl | Jahnes team on the topics of building technology and code compliance.
Sandra is a resident of Lexington where she and her husband are always tackling improvements to their own home. With two young children, this hobby has become a family affair. It may move at a much slower pace, but both children are projected to master the use of tools before their ABCs.
