Earlier this year, Will Ruhl had the honor of traveling to Chicago to pick up one of four “Inspirations” awards. The awards program has been sponsored for the last 6 years by both contract design magazine and the contract flooring manufacturer Tandus/Centiva and the awards ceremony was held at NeoCon in Chicago’s famed Merchandise Mart. The awards recognize a commitment to social responsibility as well as interior architecture and design, and we were recognized for the pro bono work we did for the Hawaii Wildlife Center. We are incredibly proud of the work we choose to do for free for worthy causes, and although it is challenging financially to run a design studio when you devote literally thousands of hours of time to non-profit causes, working with the HWC was a genuine labor of love (aloha)!
